MIAMI GARDENS — Miami Dolphins quarterback Tyler "Snoop" Huntley was named for rap legend Snoop Dogg. Does Tyler prefer Tyler or Snoop?

And Skylar Thompson is no different, having to step up for multiple stints as a starter his rookie season two years ago — when he entered the season as a third-stringer. Thompson had to win a regular-season finale at the end of that 2022 campaign,

Tyler Huntley, a practice squad player for the Baltimore Ravens, has been signed by the Miami Dolphins as a backup quarterback.

A multi-week absence (at a minimum) is in store as a result, and the Dolphins added quarterback depth in the form of Tyler Huntley. Skylar Thompson will serve as Miami’s starter moving forward, but the team opted to add Huntley off the Ravens’ practice squad on Monday.

Don’t wait, Mike McDaniel. Be bold and use Tyler “Snoop” Huntley’s most dangerous assets — his legs — this week when the Miami Dolphins visit the Seattle Seahawks. The Dolphins will need to find ways to generate offense for however long Tua Tagovailoa is out.
