Exactly one year ago, Ford unveiled the electrified Ranger plug-in hybrid (PHEV). While the Blue Oval didn't release the output figures, Ford did mention that the Ranger PHEV is capable of having a braked towing capacity of 3,500 kg. Moreover, the automaker claims the pickup truck can travel up to 45 km without using a drop of fuel.

Ford has paired its 2.3-litre engine with an 11.8kWh battery and electric motor to allow this plug-in hybrid Ranger to deliver a total of 690Nm of torque.

The conversion features genuine parts from the current Ranger and an 8-inch lift kit, but unfortunately, it’s still stuck with a measly 80 hp under the hood
