A 15-year-old boy from Brandywine, Md., has been charged with making threats to kidnap or injure a person. A 15-year-old Maryland teen was arrested Friday after D.C. police said he used social media to threaten several schools in the District.

Police alleged the teen called 911 to say Harriet Eddy Middle School would be the target of the shooting. The 14-year-old used someone’s else phone to call in the bogus threat and used another person’s name when he talked with emergency dispatchers, police said.

St. Ann, Missouri, police said they thwarted a possible school shooting. The teen was charged with first-degree terrorist threat, resisting arrest and unlawful use of weapons.

Parents of a child who attend JFK Middle School say they are upset that the school district did not notify them until a day after a unload gun was found at the school.

The charging documents allege the parents put the ammo into a backpack and gave it to someone else in an effort to hide it from police.
