Areas in Oregon and Nevada are likely to be affected by wet snow and high winds that could bring down power lines.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 4 p.m. Thursday for the western slopes of the North Cascades and passes. Travel could be difficult with snow at or above elevations greater than 4,000 feet and up to 24 inches of snow accumulating through Thursday, according to the Weather Service.
