Republican Senators Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Mike Lee and Ron Johnson have all endorsed Scott, as have leading figures in the MAGA movement, including Vivek Ramaswamy and Tucker Carlson. Trump did not endorse any of the senators vying for the position.

Who senators choose, and whether Trump ultimately endorses a candidate in the final hours, could set the tone for Trump’s attempts to assert control over the legislative branch.
