Mercedes has launched the limited-edition AMG GT Motorsport Collectors Edition, celebrating its F1 heritage with 603 hp performance and unique styling.

'AMG' in full is an abbreviation composed of the founders' names: Hans Werner Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher. The name also links to their roots in Germany: A for Aufrecht, M for Melcher, and G in Großaspach, the town where Hans grew up.

Mercedes-Benz plans a Formula One-inspired special edition of the 603-hp track-tuned AMG GT coupe. The German luxury automaker will offer 200 copies of the 2025 AMG GT 63 Pro 4Matic+ Motorsport Collectors Edition.

The new Mercedes-AMG GT 64 ‘Motorsport Collectors Edition’ has a number of elements which draw inspiration directly from the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team. For instance, the base ‘obsidian black’ metallic colour is similar to that used on the current Formula 1 race car, and the same can be said of the hand-painted star pattern on the rear flanks.

Mercedes has revealed a Formula 1-inspired version of its track-focused AMG GT 63 Pro called the Motorsport Collectors Edition. The special model is limited to just 200 units, and features a livery similar to the one used by the brand’s W14 and W15 F1 cars in the 2023 and 2024 seasons respectively.
